Wedding Fever

Alright, so BIG news - we decided we're gonna get married! We have been engaged for such a loooong ass fucking time it was bound to happen :) We went to England this summer during our summer hols in June (more on that later) and they asked us again - when are you getting married? - and we threw in 'next summer' maybe a little bit as a joke and they got super excited. So we thought fuck it - let's just do it.

So the magic is going down July 11 2015. We've already started planning. I've heard it's too soon to start doing stuff or buying things but one very wise bride-to-be told me to start as soon as possible because there's just too much to do. I never thought my wedding would mean hassle or shit loads of planning but then again, I never thought I would actually end up getting married so I was super surprised to realize how much planning it requires to get everything we want done. There's a lot we haven't even decided and that's the main thing causing me stress - I don't know what I want! There's so many things we want but don't know about them yet, so the only way to go about this, is sorting out every little detail we do know we want :)

We've decided to have an outside wedding. First it was supposed to be at my mums and stepdads yard but after thinking about it loads and trying to make it work, we decided to have the ceremony at the venue. It'll work out better that way and it'll be beautiful.

Most of the people who know me, know I'm the farthest away from being good at crafts, yet I've decided to do some of the stuff myself... I'm even looking at personal touches I could make myself. Like, I suck at making things but actually enjoy it tremendously (x-mas cards are the best by far) so I'm thinking I can do it. Maybe. Possibly. Kind of. It'll be fine, right? Maybe I feel like it'll be more me if I've done some of it myself. Helping out the wise bride-to-be, has made me realize some of the things I want to make, are actually harder than I thought.. But she'll help me with all the hard stuff! I hope and pray.

Weddings are awesome. I've never been to a real wedding! Like church, etiquette, live band and the works. It'll be an awesome experience and a lot of fun. And not to sound rude but it's been awesome helping out someone else with their wedding, because it'll help me so much with my own - I didn't even think about needing napkins! So much to do still and not as much time as I think. Two months have gone and I feel like I didn't even blink. Gotta get some stuff done. Thankfully my days are full of nothing but time..... I wish.

We've been doing this healthy-living-and-eating-right thing since the beginning of the year but had to kick it up a notch after our summer hols this year. We ate what we wanted and did what ever we felt like doing in June and didn't jump back on the bandwagon in July, so in August we started going to the gym and started eating right. We forgive ourselves for being bad this summer because it was SUMMER. But now it's back to business and the frickin' gym! I've set a new goal for the end of this year and I have to at least hit the pessimistic goal even though the realistic goal is the one I'm going for. I don't think three times a week at the gym is enough so gotta go swimming as well once a week. And all this happens after I get off work 6pm. I've been told to work out before work in the morning to save time but I don't think that's me or something I'd want to do.. But I might have to try that. We'll see what happens. Just need to fucking hit that goal at the end of the year! Wedding body 2015 - Here I Come!

Tampere

So we actually made it out of town this past weekend! We had a little road trip of about 300 km - Subway lunch and off we went. We made one stop at the Cheese Port (loosely translated) to check out all the cheese. Literally shit loads of cheese. What a cheesy place. Anyway, B loves his cheese but never gets to have or eat any because I don't like cheese so we can't really make cheesy foods, also - no room for cheese in our diet - and I wanted him to be able to eat some. The great thing about that place is the fact that you can try all the different cheeses. Nam. We got him some goat cheese and cider and then back on the road again.

We got to Tampere in the afternoon. Found our hotel very quickly thanks to our trusted navigator (Lumia 1020 - I heart Nokia navigation) and checked in. We left our car at the hotel and went for a walk. It was very close to the big mall everyone said we should go to, so we popped in there first. It was huge - compared to the one (NOTE: the one and only ) we have here and took us a couple of hours to go through. We got some ice cream at this great ice cream bar ( still not sure if it was actually ice cream, could have been some kind of healthier version of it) where you could choose the flavor - marshmallow, white chocolate mousse, chocolate, something with berries or one of the other flavors I don't remember right now. Then there were shit loads of toppings - B got a lot of different ones but I only wanted strawberries and sprinkles (?). It tasted like heaven! Didn't feel like that afterwards but let's not get into that.

We are shit at shopping. Can't shop. Like at all. So we just walked around looking at stuff until we went to the pet shop. One of the best parts of this journey was that visit to the pet shop. It's part of the same chain of shops where we got Frankie from, and they always stock stuff we need. So we got some of that soil we were looking for but no one seemed to have - the woman at the pet shop said that a lot of people had been asking for it, saying they couldn't find it anywhere else - and some of the other stuff we needed, like a lamp (yes, another one) and some calcium powder or what ever that was :) We saw a bearded dragon - B had one back in England, Zeus - and we actually talked about getting one.. I don't know if that'll happen but I'm not completely against the idea.

We then had dinner at the Manhattan Steak House, where I also had my first drink. The food was great and the service was fast. We didn't stick around after finishing our meal, because I wanted to get back to the hotel just to freshen up a little before going out. We wanted to go to a few bars or something, and ended up at the Ale Pub because S recommended the place. We had a couple of drinks there before going somewhere else. We were having a great time, until this drunk out of her mind piece of shit woman came up to me wanting to start a fight. She claimed that I was looking at her from across the room with judgement in my eyes. I was like Bitch Please ( = just sat there saying nothing, looking at her with disbelief) because I couldn't believe someone completely random would come up to me in a bar completely drunk (bear in mind - it was not even 10 pm) and accuse me of doing what ever she thought I was doing. I didn't want to say anything to her, so I ended up translating everything to B and smiling awkwardly at this random woman. Even when she said that life will teach me manners and bullshit like that, I said nothing. I was super proud of myself because normally I would have told her to fuck off and then there would have been a fight.

We then went to this other bar - way nicer and they had Guinness, Stella and Carlsberg on draft so something for the both of us. We had a couple of drinks there and then headed back to the hotel, picking up some unhealthy food on the way. We were actually in bed at around 12 pm so didn't even stay out late - had to get up early the next day and didn't want to be tired.

Got up Sunday morning, had some breakfast and headed out. We wanted to go see the dolphins and before that visit the aquarium and planetarium - yes, we're into that kind of stuff - and we got to see it all and it was amazing! The dolphin show was (obviously) the best and I actually managed to film the whole thing! We watched it back at home that same night, it was that good! Also, I wanted to film it so that I could show it to J :) She might not be interested or she might get bored watching it, but she'll sit through it some day :) After all that fun, we went back into town and back to that shopping mall to get some lunch and also to meet up with H. She was kind enough to come meet us and join us for dinner - even though she didn't eat anything. It was super cool to catch up - it's been such a long time since we got to do that. We didn't stay in town for long and we were back on the road soon enough, heading back home. I thought we might have to stop a few times, because I was drinking a lot of pop but we actually made it all the way home without stopping once! Fuck yeah!

Cats were extremely happy to see us. They had missed us so much! OK, they had missed me :) We were pretty beat so we went to bed early. B was off work Monday so we decided to go into town and visit our (tiny) shopping mall for a look around.. Didn't really buy anything, picked up my parcel from the post office.. And what a great parcel it was! Three out of the four items I ordered, arrived on Monday and I loved them all! I actually kept them all and didn't have to return anything! Actually, there's still that one item coming, so might be too early yet. But we'll see what happens with that.. Should be here by the end of the month. Still waiting on a large order we made with S back in January.. Don't know if we'll ever get that one..

Now it's shower time. Have to wash my hair since I actually getting my hair cut tomorrow - thanks for the gift card guys! You know who you are! I can't wait to do something to all this hair. Still don't know what I want, but it'll come to me tomorrow.. or I'll just swing it. We'll see :) And to finish off this post - here's some pictures of fish.

... 6 Months Later?

Hi.

I thought some hearts might make you forget all those months I didn't post anything.. Did it?

A LOT has happened since the last time I managed to update this blog. I expect almost everyone stopped checking in after a while and that's understandable - I suck at keeping this one simple promise. But hey, better late than never, right?

So.. where to begin..

I won't write about everything, and the things I do write about won't be in any kind of order of importance because there's a lot of stuff I have already forgotten about and will remember at some later date - which will be the moment you hear about those things.

Anyway, what's happened since September? I worked a lot because the guy I used to work with was sick all the time and off work a lot, meaning it was only the three of us holding the fort. That's how it'll continue, since the guy doesn't work there anymore. I'm actually quite happy about that for a couple of reasons - he was not happy working there, happy with his life or with himself, making working with him unbearable and that made me miserable. As a result - I was unhappy and didn't perform as well as I should. But now he is gone, and I've never felt better at work - dominating and leaving the boys behind. They'll have to play catch up to me now :) This is fantastic for me personally, my well-being and more money for me! Too bad it had to end so badly for him, but there's nothing I could have done differently - he had to hit rock bottom to realize he needs help, but for some reason I think he'll still dig his way deeper..

Every now and then I started some sort of diet that worked for a little while but I always ended up giving up on it and didn't find anything I could stick with.. Well, I'm happy to report that I've finally found something I've stuck to! It's worked for me before and it's working now! I even got B to start this with me and it's been amazing to work on this together and it's made our relationship stronger than ever! We started 1st of January and we've lost quite a lot since then - and it's only the beginning! We'll stick to this one and Beach Body 2016 maybe. No bullshit diets - fasting or changing our eating habits radically - all about things we can actually stick to. And we've lost all this weight without doing exercise! That's my dream diet! Of course we're going to introduce exercise to our new life style but we don't have to do it now or do shit loads right now. We'll start soft and easy, then build up from that. Because, I love exercise.. not. I'm not going to bring up any kg or cm we've lost because I don't want to jinx it.

My two week holiday started today! We've got all kinds of things planned, but mostly I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and friends. Also some couch time will be much appreciated. You know, lounging all day doing nothing but watching movies or reading a good book.. Fifty Shades of Grey is just waiting there for me, and I really want to read them again before the movie comes out! I've been waiting for that since I read the first book back in 2011 or something! Thankfully it comes out soonish. Anyway, time with family and friends.. Today we went down to the countryside, tomorrow will be going out of town (just B and I - romantic getaway?) and next weekend we're headed to J-town to see I! That'll be super fun, because last time I went, it was just me and this time I get to bring S and B with me!! Awesome! We're going to party hard and eat out! (something we don't do very often nowadays). Also, J has grown a lot and speaks more now. Mostly just words, no full sentences but she's not stupid. She's very smart - especially when it comes to distracting one to get something or do something she's not supposed to have or do. A very strong-willed little kid that is.. Don't know where she gets it from.. Mom and Dad aren't at all stubborn.. ;) I can't even imagine what my child will be like.. All I can hope for is that she'll be as in love with Nan as J is.

The last holiday weekend is all about S and I. She'll be coming over to stay the weekend and we'll do all the super girly things they do in movies! Bitch about boys - while getting drunk. Watch movies - while getting drunk. Play board games and brush each others hair (wtf) - while getting drunk. Before all this super girly fun we're gonna have, we're gonna go get tattoos. S already knows what she wants to get, but at the moment I have no idea what I want.. Need to ask Mr Google. I know where I'd want something, but I can't decide what to get.. Thankfully there's still time to figure that out.

There's a few things I want to get done at some point during these two weeks - get a hair cut. I haven't got anything done to my hair for a couple of years. I don't really know what I want to do with it, so I'm counting on some professional person to tell me what would look good :) I also want to get my eye brows and eye lashes dyed. Haven't done that since.. ever. But I'm sure it'll look good.. hopefully. I want to go shopping. Yes! Me - shopping! I don't actually want to buy anything nor am I looking for something. I think I just want to go walk around all the shops for no reason. Let's not call that shopping, let's call it going-to-town-for-something-I-probably-will-never-wear-but-have-to-have-anyway :)

One more thing. Changing our diet wasn't enough, we wanted to change our lives a little in the process of losing weight. We've started going to bed earlier whenever we're in work the next day, and we wont stay up too late even if we're off the next day, unless there's a reason for it. Like now - I'd normally be in bed right now trying to fall asleep, but I'm off tomorrow and I'm writing this blog, so going to bed can wait a little longer.. We also decided to leave all our problems behind us and start fresh this year. New outlook on life, new healthier way of living, new goals and new perspective. So far it's worked great! We don't fight nearly as much as we did before, and that is probably because we've finally committed to doing something together - same ship and all. We decided this year will be great, but that's left to be seen. Knocking on wood. So many great things have happened and are happening right now - I'm worried something bad will happen. Some say I should turn that around and think, something bad has already happened so why can't the good things come now? I'm thinking - bad things have happened, good things have happened - good things have happened, bad things have happened. They always come in two's. Loads of good things - massive bad thing? CPO (Chronic Pessimistic Outlook) or don't want to spit in the face of the Universe?

Dreamland, here we come!

...

Ok so it's been like two weeks since the last time I wrote anything.. I've been mostly busy but also very lazy. It's not like there's been a lot to do or like I haven't been home - I haven't even thought about this blog. Anyway..

Work has been good and has kept me fairly busy. It's been mostly busy days with only a couple of those never ending boring days. Last month I was off nearly every Sunday and Monday so I had my two days off and in a row! It was awesome. This month my days off are a bit scattered but it's OK, and I have a long weekend this week. I'm off for the rest of the week! I'm running some errands tomorrow and Friday I'm going to Helsinki. It's gonna be B and I, we're staying in a hotel and Saturday we're planning on going to the Bodies exhibition and we might check out what's happening in town since B's never really been there.

Tomorrow I need to get the back tyres on our car changed, buy some stuff, get the car washed and also cleaned on the inside. I also need to get some playlists ready for the long drive and it has to be music I like and want to listen to since it'll only be me driving there and back. But I get to sleep in! On my days off I still wake up at 10 because I don't want my sleep pattern to get messed up or sleep really late because that will most definitely push back bedtime that night and it's then harder to get up for work the next day. Interesting stuff, right?

Friday I have to get up early, get some stuff done, go to work for about 2 hours, get an MRI and then it's off to Helsinki. We want to try and make it there by no later than 8pm and we're really going to aim for that - stop quick, pee quick and on the road again. This is not my first 6-7 hours of driving and I've drove the 500km in a day before but not one long road, so this will be interesting.. You know - how long does it take before I get bored.. Especially when B usually always falls asleep in the car and I'll be alone singing along to this music I've yet to choose.. We'll see how it goes.

J has grown a lot and she's saying these words she knows very clearly now. She's taken her first steps! She still doesn't want to walk but she's standing on her own more every day and she's actually walked! How amazing is that?! She's also learnt a new word and she is just the cutest thing ever. She is so lovable and cute and fantastic and OMG I love her so much. She's also ate her own poo. That wasn't as cute as the other things she does but I guess that's what all babies do at some point.. And I still kiss those hands and that face - even the once poo stained parts.

It was I's BDay last week and she had a party on Saturday. We went over to her house and we had an amazing time! I hadn't been to a party in a long time (other than the ones we have at our house and you can't really call them party's, more like get-together's) and I really enjoyed myself. We even went to the bar after and I was really drunk! I even decided (or managed) to dance to a few songs. It was a fantastic night all and all and I can't wait for someone else to have a BDay party so we can do it all over again..

But now it's time for me to go to bed. If I can manage some free time tomorrow, I'll try to remember the existence of this blog and use some of that time to update it. Good night.

Time For A Change?

When you wake up in the morning and get ready for work, do you feel happy about going in? Or do you feel like it's just gonna be another day in work you'll hate and can't wait to get home? If the latter sounds more like you - it's time to find another job. It seems to me there are too many people sick and tired of their jobs out there.. There's no problem until these people start giving you attitude and taking their frustration out on you. I just can't stand people taking their shit out on you for no reason and giving shitty service because they really don't want to be there. Get a new job fucktard!

After meeting this piece of shit who knew nothing and couldn't help me at all, S took me to lunch. I've been to this place for lunch quite a few times and I think they've only had nice food once. I don't get it how they can make food taste so bad or why they have so many customers, when the food is so bad. I don't think I'll be going back there. Like ever.

I'll be spending the rest of today doing nothing. I'll hoover the house and do some dusting. Not much else to do and I should really enjoy my day off. I've been working all week and even worked two jobs on Saturday. We got drunk Saturday night and spent most of the day hungover yesterday.

It's my sister and brothers BDays next month. We've already got something for our brother, but still working on getting something for S. We know what we're getting her - she told us what she wants, so it's all good. It's also I's BDay soon and she's having a party - FUN! Can't wait to get my party on with her and possibly go out to the bars.

I also got my holiday pay sorted out from my other job. I can't believe how long it took my boss to sort it out but at least it got sorted and I'll get what they owe me. Some people just don't care about fucking people over. Seems like they don't have a conscience or they lack in the empathy department.. The world would be a much better place if people started putting themselves in other people's shoes. Try and understand what it would be like if someone pulled the same shit on them. But I guess most people only think about themselves and therefore have no time to think about other people. Anyway, it'll get sorted now.

I think I might watch a movie or something and later - hello hoover.

Bad Day

I woke up this morning wishing I hadn't. I don't mean I didn't want to wake up, but I didn't want to wake up today. I just had a feeling it would be a shitty day, and I was right. I was already in a bad mood and some of the customers were really testing my patience.. I was literally counting the minutes until closing time. But I finished strong and in a good mood - one customer I had helped loads yesterday and today (not Finnish, which made the helping part a little harder) came by at the end of the day and brought me chocolate! It was such a surprise, because Finnish people rarely do such a thing. I really appreciated the gesture :)

It's raining. That's all I have to say about the weather. There are only so many ways you can express your dislike for rain. And it's constantly raining now. Feel like I'm back in England..

We went to the shop after work, bought some food and it's cooking in the oven right now. It'll be another 30 minutes until it's ready. Then I'll eat, sit on the computer until I get tired and then I'll go to bed. That's the plan for today.. I did text S to find out what's happening today at the countryside, but she didn't answer. We might pop down to see them.. I really miss J even though it's only been a couple of days since I last saw her. My mom and stepdad went to my stepdads moms funeral today. They've had a day of stress and misery, so they might want to be left alone - then again, they might appreciate a visit. I shall give them a call right now..

They are not all at the countryside.. Have to decide who we go visit.. My mom and stepdad or S,J and J. Decisions, decisions.. I'm actually already going down to the countryside tomorrow, so I think it'll be S,J and J tonight :) I'm dying to kiss and cuddle J anyway :)

Now I think our food is ready! Mmmm.. Chicken wings and chips! Haven't had anything to eat all day - starving!

Why So Angry?

You know when sometimes you start thinking about the pros and cons of your job, and find that there are less pros than cons? That's how I felt today.. But I think it was mostly because of this one customer - the last customer to walk into the shop. He walked in 2 minutes before closing, because according to him, his business would be quickly dealt with - give him a something worth 144 € for free and he'd be on his merry way. Well, you can probably already understand why this situation didn't go according to his plan. There was quite a lot of shouting and cursing from his side of the table, and a lot of confused yet understanding nods from my side. Not that I understood his problem and had sympathy for him - I understood what he said and found it ridiculous! But I understood how easy it is to misunderstand something and think you're in the right when actually, you couldn't be more wrong. He made me stay overtime but finally left without throwing anything at me - success!

It's been raining all day. Full on raining, not just some shitty English piss rain, but really raining like the sky is trying to make an ocean out of this Earth. Because of the rain, the shopping center was absolutely dead all day.. We did get some busy times, but that was because people came in after work to sort out their business - the usual, changing simcards and what not. But the hours seem to stretch out and it felt like I was there for a week, in stead of just 8 hours. I'm hoping it'll be a little nicer out tomorrow, but I doubt it. I'll be working the later shift and one of our guys is off sick (again!), so I'll have to stay in for an hour on my own - all alone in my loneliness.. But if it's sunny and nice outside, I will have people to talk to and help me pass the time. Let's keep our fingers crossed for some sunshine, shall we?

Today a friend told me about this girl who got into a car accident, and how she has a bright look on life, goes swimming and out for a stroll - does things normal people lazy out on doing. And we got to thinking.. This girl who's paralyzed from the waist down, does more to stay healthy than we two-working-legs people do. I mean - we should be out taking walks, swimming and shit, to stay fit, like this girl in a wheelchair. Aren't we just the laziest people ever? Also, we complain about a lot of things.. Like standing in line at the checkout buying groceries - at least we can stand up. Or having to walk somewhere, instead of getting a ride there - at least we can walk. I understand these examples are obvious ones, but they are the most important ones.. We always put more value on something we don't have or have had and now have lost, instead of being grateful for what we actually have and while we still have it. Like our health. God, I really have to start doing more stuff - just because I can.

Now it's sadly once again my bedtime. I hung around with I after work, had dinner and now it's time to close my eyes.. That's one of those cons again.. Starting work later, means that you also finish later. And by the time you've made your way home, gone to the shop, ate dinner and done what ever needs doing - it's almost time for bed. But I shouldn't complain - at least I have a job, and two working legs.
