How Long Is Too Long?
So here I am, once again about a lifetime later, trying to sum up a whole lot of time in a few sentences. We all know I'm not very good at that. Let me think.. It's been over a month..
I worked a lot after the holiday, and spent time with my family and friends. Last month was full of work and friends and family and fun and and and. I would have had the time to update but I chose to spend every minute living the actual life, or watching the many programs I had piled up after not being able to watch them in England.
Miisu hadn't changed at all but Emi had grown into a big hairy pussy. I was a bit surprised at how much a cat can grow in two weeks. She's no kitten, but she's my baby.
Talking about babies - J, my niece, is growing fast. She's already singing and trying to crawl and making all kinds of funny noises. She's eating human food! It's horrible but wonderful at the same time. Horrible because that means she's growing up really fast, and amazing because I get to witness all the new things she's learning to do. I love her so much!
It's now winter. Or at least it's cold, dark and the ground is white. They say it'll be like minus 30 soon.. Not looking forward to that.
But now it's time for Amazing Race. Have a good night everyone!

The First Week Back..
.. was chaos.
Monday
I was really tired - even after something like 12 hours of sleep. I had to get up early in the morning (at 8am but my body was in English time, so 6am) for work. I thought I'd be really tired, but I was fine. Thankfully we had a busy day in work and the day flew by - giddyness about being back in Finland, played a crucial role that Monday. After work it was some family time and then some more sleep.
Tuesday
Work, work, work all day long. Didn't do much after work. I had somewhere to be the next day and had do get up really early for the journey. Tuesday was a good day.
Wednesday
Got up at 6am to get ready for 7.30. We ended up leaving at 8 but I saw no point in sleeping from 7.30 to 8 - so I watched some programs. Typical.
We drove for over 3 hours to reach our destination- a spa in the middle of nowhere. That was my home for the next two days. It was training - Samsung, Nokia, Apple, Mtv and DNA. It was really good (not all of it) and it was really fucking awesome that I didn't miss it. The food was amazing and the Spa Bar was perfect. I didn't drink much and ended up going to bed early.
We woke up the next day, to do more training and have some more food. It felt like we were constantly eating something, but that was OK. At least we didn't starve. After the last of the training was done, we started driving again. We drove for the same boring motherfucking 3 and something hours, until we finally got home. I didn't do much that night either.
Thursday and Friday
Worked both days without anything special happening.
Saturday
I went to work. Worked for 6 hours. Came home and got changed. I packed a bag and went to Alko. I got drinks and my stuff together, and then it was off to Kalajoki with Antti. He made us late - for One, he wanted to start the One Hour drive so god damn late and Two, he had to do some shit just before we were supposed to leave. But we made it, and got FUCKING WASTED.
Needless to say, I was really hungover on Sunday and don't need to explain what I did that day. But I did manage to drive us home, before collapsing on myself and giving in to the mindless headache and nausea.
All in all - a hectic but well spent week.
Travel Diary Part Twenty Five
Saturday - Travel Day.
We tried to sleep in as late as possible, but Bad Guy Brain decided we should get up at 12. I know what you're thinking, 12 is pretty late - not for someone who's gonna stay up for the next 30-or-so hours. We didn't do much on Saturday afternoon, Bs auntie, uncle and grandad came around to say goodbye - no tears, but they promised to come visit us in Finland. Like that's gonna happen. We'll see.
We left Bs parents house at 3 o'clock, because we wanted to have some time in town before the train. We thought we'd take the bus into town, but Bs uncle offered to drive us. It was so cool of him to do that - it would have been a nightmare dragging all of our stuff to the Connie and the Oh-So-Spacious-Bus. We had to make a stop at Tesco, so I could buy the Fifty Shades of Grey books, and Bs uncle took us there. He said he'd stay in town for a little while, so that we could leave our stuff in his car, while we do what ever we needed to do. It was so fucking cool - amazingly easy to walk around without three suitcases. We had some nice healthy salad for lunch.. Who am I kidding?! We ate at KFC (WINNING). That was probably the seventh time we ate at KFC during those two weeks in England, but it's one of the only things I miss about England. That and the 24-hour fully licenced (to sell alcohol) Asda, with an endless supply of Vodka.
After food, Bs uncle drove us to the train station. We said our goodbyes and settled down for the 3-Hour train ride. We didn't watch any movies going over, and now was the perfect time for it - that's all we did, no sleep. When we got to Edinburgh, we sat down at the Train Station Bar (I don't know the name of that bar, and even if I did, I wouldn't be able to spell it anyway) and had a few drinks before getting the 11.40 bus to the airport.
At the airport - B slept while I read Fifty Shades of Fuckedupness. B didn't wake up for nothing.. We had to move at one point, and by some miracle - B stayed up during the move. He did give me the opportunity (TWICE) to use the toilet and go for a smoke, and then he'd always go back to sleep. He only got up when it was time to check our bag in. We went through security and walked the mile to our gate - only to stand (among the first people) in line to board the plane, for 30 minutes.
The flight was pretty much a Part Two of the B Sleeping Show. It was exactly the same thing going over - B leaning against me SLEEPING, while I desparately fight the noise and light, to steal a few minutes of sleep. When we finally landed, we got our bags pretty quickly and got on the Ryanair Airport Bus. The 30 minute bus ride was the prequel for the 3-Hour wait for our train. At this point, I was exhausted - completely knackered to the point of feeling sick. I couldn't read one more page of Fifty, so we decided to leave the comforts of the train station (what comforts?!) And brave the wilderness that is Tampere. Thankfully we found some heart-healthy restaurant called McDonalds, and we had some lunch. After food we made our way back to the train station, where B tried to sleep, and I tried to drive him crazy - I literally counted the minutes, which made each and one of those minutes feel painfully long, but made me feel better coz it kept B awake.
The train ride was about the same as everything else - B slept, while I tried to find something to do. I wanted to do the blog but my phone was dying. Then I discovered I could charge my phone on the train and got a little happier. I started writing, but I could only spell these 5 words - I AM SO FUCKING TIRED. So I gave up the Blog idea and settled on a game of Word Swipe. That one game lasted all the way to Kokkola. OK, not all the way, but nearly - and 'nearly' felt pretty damn good at that moment in time. And so we made it all the way back to where we started, and were met by my sister and J.
We met the rest of the family later on, and holy shit a baby can grow in two weeks - was the first thought that popped into my head. The second thought - SLEEP MOTHERFUCKER. I love traveling and holiday, but nothing beats coming home.

Travel Diary Part Twenty Four
Friday - lazy day. We didn't do much at all that day. We got up, had some breakfast, showed the family some photos from Blackpool and then just chilled. We were just about to go to Bs sisters house, when they beat us to it and came over to Bs parents house. We stayed for a little bit and then went over to see Bs other sister. Her son was really ill so we went over there to say goodbye and all. We didn't stay that long, coz they had dinner and their own routine to follow.
Back at the house we watched telly and ate everything we could find. We had bought all the food we'd been missing, but never ate any of it, so on that last night in England - we ate it all. We went to the Asda for the last time - to buy me the Fifty Shades books - which were sold out. Just my luck. But thankfully I could still get them from Tesco on Saturday.
